RestLog functions without server connections or cloud databases. There are no user sign-ups, gym location telemetry, or workout data harvesting.
Your timer presets, workout sessions, and set logs reside strictly in your phone's sandboxed local memory.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
Because RestLog operates offline, we never collect, harvest, or monetize:
- Zero Gym Location or GPS Data: We never track which gym, fitness club, or location you exercise in.
- Zero Health Cloud Syncing: No biometric heart rates or fitness cloud synchronization over the network.
- Zero Personal Identifiable Information (PII): No names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account profiles.
- Zero Usage Telemetry: We do not monitor how many sets you complete or your rest time durations.
- Zero Advertising Identifiers: We do not track device advertising IDs (GAID/IDFA).
3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
All data created within RestLog is saved inside the local sandbox of your mobile device:
- Timer Presets: Custom rest durations (e.g. 30s, 60s, 90s, 3min), compound vs isolation lift timers, and warmup intervals.
- Set & Workout History: Exercise tags, set counters, logged rest intervals, and workout timestamps.
- Audio & Haptic Preferences: Countdown sound beeps, finish alarm sounds, and vibration intensity settings.
- UI Preferences: Dark/OLED theme settings and screen keep-awake toggles.
4. Device Permissions Explained
RestLog requests only minimal permissions strictly necessary for timer execution:
- Local Notifications & Alarms (Optional): Used solely to alert you when your rest timer expires if you switch apps or lock your screen.
- Vibration / Audio Playback: Used to provide haptic feedback and audible countdown cues.
- File Storage / Document Access (Optional): Required only if you manually export your workout rest history to CSV.
5. Data Ownership, Backups & Deletion
You maintain 100% control over your workout data:
- Instant Deletion: You can clear workout logs or reset timer presets at any time.
- Immediate Removal: Uninstalling RestLog permanently purges all data from your device.
6. GDPR & CCPA/CPRA Legal Compliance
RestLog is fully aligned with international privacy laws:
